1. Name Registration Policy

• Domain names must be used only for legitimate purposes under the laws of Sri Lanka.
• Domains must not be used for illegal, unethical, or infringing activities.
• Domains may be registered by organizations or individuals, subject to policy approval.
• The Registry may suspend or de-register domains that violate these policies.

2. Domain Registration Information Policy

• The Registrant must be the legal authority or trademark owner of the domain.
• Registrant, organization, and contact details must be accurate and up to date.
• The Registrant is responsible for all domain usage and content.
• Administrative, technical, and billing contacts must be clearly defined.
• Incorrect or outdated information may lead to suspension or de-registration.

3. Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy

• The LK Domain Registry will not mediate third-party disputes.
• Domains may be suspended during dispute resolution.
• Trademark infringement claims may result in cancellation or transfer.
• The Registrant agrees to indemnify the Registry against legal claims.

4. Domain Transfer & Reselling Policy

• Domains may not be sold, transferred, or resold for profit.
• The Registrant has usage rights but does not own the domain name.
• Violations may result in cancellation or de-registration.

5. Suspension & De-registration Policy

• Domains may be suspended for policy violations or non-payment.
• Email reminders will be sent before domain expiry.
• Failure to renew may result in permanent de-registration.
• The Registry reserves the right to amend policies at any time.

6. Collection of Personal Data

We collect only necessary personal information, including:

• Name, address, phone number, and email address
• NIC / Passport / Driving License number
• Client Area login credentials (securely encrypted)

Your data is used strictly for:

• Domain registration and management
• Customer support and communications
• Registry operations and record keeping

7. Referral and Commission Policy

Users who refer new customers to our platform may earn commissions on domain purchases and renewals. Commissions are credited only when orders meet the eligibility criteria outlined below.

• A commission is awarded only for orders placed by new customers who are not already registered or affiliated with another user.
• If an order is placed by a developer or user who is already registered or affiliated with another user, no commission will be awarded to any party.
• If a user attempts to place an order on behalf of an already affiliated customer, no commission will be generated.
• Multiple orders from the same customer, or orders for existing customers, will not generate additional commissions.
• Attempts to manipulate referral links, create duplicate accounts, or bypass rules to earn commissions are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or commission forfeiture.
• Commissions are calculated on completed transactions and may be adjusted or revoked if any ineligible activity is detected.
